The Details


When: February 7, 2010 immediately following morning Services approx 12 noon.


Where: Christ Covenant Church, 6390 N.  Major Drive, Beaumont TX 77713


Who: at least 4 teams of men

2 Timothy 2:5  Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules.

 The Rules:
 

1. Each team will be made up of four adult males and should recruit at least one Junior High or High School aged male. Also each team should recruit one non CCC male and invite their family
2. Each team must submit items in the following categories, 1) Meat 2) Side 3) Dessert 4) Wild Card
3. Nothing maybe preheated or cooked and no fires lit before the end of church services on Sunday, February 7.
4. Preparations such as marinating, brining, dough making, etc my be done ahead of time. If technique is questionable please ask for clarification.
5. Dishes will be collected from each team in the following order at the following times: Wild Card (mystery item) 5pm, Side item 5:15pm Meat Item 5:30pm, Dessert Item 5:45pm.
6. Judging will be done by a team of women of the church with no husbands or male counterparts in the competition
7. Items will be Judged individually and then combined for overall score. Trophies to be awarded. 
8. Each team will be judged on Taste, Creativity and Presentation, each category is worth 10 points each for 30 points per item and 120 points overall.
9. Each team must have a fire extinguisher on site
10. Each team needs to have some sort of weather protection. IE: Canopy
11. Each Team is responsible for their own lunches.
